ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Kahikahealani Wight has her degree in Hawaiian Studies from the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo where she has taught Hawaiian language. She currently teaches beginning-level Hawaiian language at Kapiʻolani Community College.
