We try to accommodate as many events as possible but we receive many, many requests that is challenging for our small team to support.
Learn about the type of events we host. Read the guidelines in our online submission form to make sure your event is aligned with our process, priorities, and local literary community.
Submit your event request 3 - 4 months before your targeted event date to accommodate scheduling, ordering, and coordination needs.
If your event is a good fit for our bookstore, we will notify you and begin coordinating details for a successful event!

This depends on the type of event. Seated author talks can usually hold between 65 - 75 people. Non-seated events can hold up to 100 people, depending on the event layout and needs.

We aim to schedule bookish gatherings that resonate with our local literary community, ie storytellers with strong ties to Hawaiʻi, national authors who write about topics that are meaningful to our customers, etc.
Due to the high volume of great events happening around us, we aim to be selective about how many events we host and when we host them. We appreciate your understanding!
