Author: Kikkawa, Scott | Paperback
On the heels of his critically acclaimed début noir novel, Kona Winds, Scott Kikkawa followed up with Red Dirt, and now the wait is over for the third installment of this popular noir detective series with Char Siu.
Kikkawa's depiction of 1950s Honolulu Police Department Detective Sergeant Francis “Sheik” Yoshikawa, a Japanese American Nisei veteran of World War II, propels each mystery he's assigned to solve. Handsome, street smart, literate, and haunted by memories of his military service in the famed 442ndRegimental Combat Team, Sheik must solve yet another murder case. He has plenty to examine––not just vice and murder but plenty of different cultures thrown into the mix of early twentieth-century Hawai‘i.
