To kickoff AAPI Heritage Month at da Shop, we are excited to host author and NPR correspondent Elise Hu, who will discuss her book Flawless with fellow writer/journalist Stephanie Han. Flawless explores the intersection of K-beauty and culture with consumerism, politics, technology & more. Don't miss this unique book talk on how feminism, self-worth and identity in particular--for better or for worse--have their place within this fascinating discourse. Q&A plus book signing to follow.

We are excited to host Kealani Netane at da Shop for a wonderful keiki story time about growing up, family tradition, dance, and Samoan culture. Book signing follows the author's reading.

Master Narratives Writing Workshop
Local author & educator Dr. Stephanie Han presents this generative creative process workshop that explores the complexities and ideas of Master Narratives. Writers will explore how and why Master Narratives are foundational to our framework of belief, community, and self. Participants will also examine their creative literary process in relation to Master Narratives. Most significantly, the Master Narratives guide our approach to our subject matter and our identities as writers. $100 per person for 2-hour workshop. Click here for more information.
