Presencing: Living into the Future

Presencing: Living into the Future

a transformative workshop co-led by Vanessa Cabrales and Diane O’Neal

We invite you to join us for an afternoon of collective Presencing. Based on principles from the book Presence: Human Purpose and the Field of the Future, presencing is defined as the liminal space between letting go and new understanding, where you *receive the new.* Presencing is described as a critical step in the process of tapping into new, holistic solutions to the problems we encounter as communities and a species.

During this 3 hour workshop, we will review key themes and passages in Presence: Human Purpose and the Field of the Future, engage in open dialogue, and finally, invite an opportunity for an embodied experience of U-theory together - from talking about it, to being it. The goal of this workshop is to give you more resources and experiences to draw upon for living into your future and is intentionally designed for the real-time integration of your learning and synthesis.

We invite community members from all walks of life and backgrounds who have a deep love for learning and desire personal and collective transformation. How do we invite change that is integrated with our whole being? How do we navigate ambiguity? How can presencing with conceptual tools such as U theory assist us? How can we come together to vision and anchor shared future potentials?

$33 / Ticket price includes 3-hour workshop and the book Presence: Human Purpose and the Field of the Future by Peter M. Senge, C. Otto Scharmer, Joseph Jaworski, and Betty Sue Flowers.

Diane’s Bio:

Diane O’Neal is a multifaceted designer and strategist and the founder of DAOlabs, an experimental social think tank and creative studio. The aim of DAOlabs is to explore alternative solutions within business, culture and the marketplace for the purpose of reinstilling equitable, imaginative and life-affirming values and practices into our communities. After receiving a self-guided degree in visual culture and art from the College of William and Mary in 2007, she has worked extensively in various industries cultivating an understanding of branding, consumer culture theory, and experience design, among other disciplines.
